Shop Project Update
|
04-18-18: A lot of progress is noticeable on the Caretaker Shop Project. The old shop is now gone, the concrete under it has been broken up. It is being moved to behind the lodge to help shore up the bank on the lagoon. The two trees are in the process of being removed.
The weather dealt us few delays, but we hope to have the site leveled and the plumbing roughed in shortly. Once that is done, we will grade the space and place 6 inches of compacted gravel on it. Then we can certify the site as ready and get our final production clearance from the builders. They will then firm up the date they will come onside to begin the build.
A lot of volunteers were out there helping Orville with the various tasks needed to help clear the site. Thanks to all who helped including: Lee Heffernan, Rob Roberson, Dave Dickey, Larry Bergstrom, George Horn, Larry Truett, Eric Bergstrom, and Tom Geis. Caretaker Tom even worked on this project on his days off to help keep the momentum going. All was accomplished under the direction of our volunteer project manager, Orville Aas. Thanks to all who stepped up to the plate.
