Power Outage Update and PUD Work Begins
|
07-18-18: We have an update on the power outage now scheduled for Monday morning. Because the PUD crew did some extra work on Thursday getting things ready, they now estimate that the outage should last no more than four hours and may be less. They anticipate that the power will be turned off around 8am and if all goes well, should be back on by noon.
PUD workers have been onsite and putting in the new power system. They have tunneled out under Sandridge and run the conduit for the new power lines. We also have a crew from General Utilities boring under our streets and lots to run a new primary feed line down Perimeter. They will also be working on the south side of Perimeter between three lots to bore for a new secondary feed. Please be careful when entering and exiting Safari. Also please stay away from the construction areas. There are holes in the ground and they are easy to fall into as one person has already found out.
Also, during the work n Wednesday, one of the machines clipped our water main coming into the park which caused the water outage. The contractor immediately jumped in and repaired the line which was really nice of them since they are technically not responsible for lines not located.
