10/11/18 - Draining the swamp!
Draining the swamp!
|
10-11-18: Every rainy season, we end up with a lake in front of the lodge door. This makes it difficult for folks to get into the lodge and also more dirty water gets tracked inside which take more time to clean. Also having the large puddle is not good for the foundation of the lodge.
This puddle should be no more! Thanks to the efforts of Orville and Sharon Aas, Terry Stark, Dreda Lucas, Mary Morse and Tom Radford, a drainage system has been installed to move the water from the front of the lodge to the lagoon behind it. At the same time, a drain was run across the street to pick up the runoff from the new shop's roof.
So, a big thank you to our volunteers for draining our puddles!
