Safari Update 05/31/23
WELCOME TO MIKE CHASE
Mike Chase, a Safari member, has been hired as a part time caretaker to help Tom. He is replacing Ken Van Dyk who was unable to return due to medical issues. Mike will be with us into September.
MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The May Membership meeting is now available for viewing. The best way to view the video is to go to the MySafari page and look under MySafari videos. Click that link and you will be taken to the video without any web trackers knowing where you went. If you cannot access the MySafari page, you can use the link https://youtu.be/SZa1-bDnaaE but your browsing might be tracked.
FREE TABLE
The free table will not be available for a while as we clean up from the Memorial Day sales. Those of you who were involved in the sale and left items in the lodge, please remove them and please do not fill up the garbage cans with them. The free table will be back sometime this weekend once all articles are removed.
EARL’S GARDEN
If you can give an hour or two a week, the ladies in Earl’s garden could really use some help with watering, gardening, and some minor maintenance items. The ladies will be happy to show you what is needed and how to do it. And if you have a spouse handy, it would be a good chance for the two of you to work together. Again, any time you can spare would be appreciated. Please contact Merna Folkerts in 712 or Mary Morse in 8065.
LOT INSPECTION RESULTS
The board inspected all the lots in Safari on Monday. This was the best inspection I’ve ever been involved in! The vast majority of sites were in good shape, and you could see the results of the work the members put in. The number of letters that will be going out is way below last year’s count! Well done to those of you who made the effort!
SAFARI DAYS
Yes, it is time to start planning for Safari Days for the Labor Day weekend. If you missed it last year, you missed some great events. Tammie Ohrman is coordinating the event this year and is looking for folks to volunteer to help out. With your help, you can help us make Safari Days even better this year. Please contact Tammie at (505) 252-8940 to get details and sign up.
